188) Bob the Squirrel…

Cartoonist Frank Page has been drawing Bob the Squirrel for almost twenty years. Bob first appeared in 2002 at www.bobthesquirrel.com before appearing on the cartoonist tryout website Comics Sherpa in 2003. [Sadly Comics Sherpa has closed down. Aspiring comic strip artists have lost a home to display their creations.] The strip graduated to the main Andrews McMeel Universal Syndicate website (www.gocomics.com) in 2004, where it is still featured.

The spunky, sometimes philosophical squirrel interacts with Frank, Page’s wife Lezley, daughter Lauren, and a variety of household pets. I find it a charming strip that deserves more attention. And kudos to Frank Page for his perseverance.
