159) Cartoon to Comic…
It was not uncommon for popular comic strips to be adapted for motion pictures and animated cartoons. It was also not unusual for animated characters to be placed in comic strips. Pictured below are some examples of animated stars that transitioned from film to comics. (I had previously posted a couple of these.)
The results tended to be rather staid, their comic strip incarnations lacking the qualities that made their animated personas so enjoyable.
