Chauncey Addison Day (1907-2000) signed his magazine cartoons as Chon Day. 

He contributed to a number of prestigious nationally circulated magazines such as The New Yorker, Look and The Saturday Evening Post.

His Brother Sebastian series of cartoon panels were collected in several books published by Doubleday (hardcover) and Pocket Books (paperback).

Chon Day received the Gag Cartoon Award from the National Cartoonists Society in 1956, 1962 and1970, plus a Special Features Award for Brother Sebastian in 1969.
