Original ZITS by Jerry Scott & Jim Borgman 10-2-2001

In 1997 King Features Syndicate introduced the comic strip ZITS, written by Jerry Scott and drawn by Jim Borgman. The strip stars Jeremy Duncan, a smart, yet naive teenager (who’s only aged two years in the over twenty five years since the feature launched).

ZITS appears in over 1500 newspapers, 45 countries and has been translated into 15 different languages. I think this is a pretty good indication that the trials and tribulations of a teenager dealing with family life, social life and school are worldwide issues.

Supporting characters in ZITS include Jeremy’s parents, Connie and Walt, best friend Hector, girlfriend Sara, and quite a number of schoolmates.
