Original Animal Crackers by Roger Bollen 12-7-1974

Animal Crackers was created by Roger Bollen in 1967. Bollen (1941-2015) was a versatile cartoonist who also did children’s book illustrations and eventually moved on to create, among other properties, Zenon, Girl of the 21st Century for the Disney Channel. In 1994 Bollen handed Animal Crackers chores over to Fred Wagner, who had previously succeeded him on his other comic strip feature, Catfish. Mike Osbun currently handles Animal Crackers, taking over the strip when Wagner died in 2016.
