Original Overboard by Chip Dunham 8-22-1996

The comic strip Overboard by Chip Dunham has been around since 1990. It features Captain Henry Crow, who leads a misfit crew of swashbuckling pirates (and dogs and mice, and a cat, too) aboard The Revenge, a ship reminiscent of the vessels that sailed the seas in centuries past. However, Overboard takes place in the present, proudly flaunting the anachronistic existence of classic pirates in the modern world. The crew of The Revenge face a myriad of obstacles, from their enemies aboard the Green Ship to predatory sea creatures and garden raiding rabbits. There’s even an onboard cartoonist who can change their destiny with the swipe of his pen.

Overboard is a comic strip of gentle humor and a charming, albeit primitive, cartoon style.
