Close to Home is a single panel, comic strip created by John McPherson in 1992. It has no regular characters or theme, but offers a joke-a-day on a wide variety topics. It found great success as a substitute for Gary Larson’s The Far Side, which ended its newspaper run in 1996. Close to Home is currently running in over 700 newspapers.

Recycled Paper Products carries a line of Close to Home greeting cards, plus the strips have been collected in a series of paperback books. John McPherson is also a noted speaker and presenter.
